I just couldn't help it. After being a web/graphic designer (on and off) for about 8 years, I had to make a blog! It's been 4 years since I went on semi-permanent break from design, and now, it's calling me back! So, I guess I'll just use this post as what I hope to get out of this blog. I want it to be... RANDOM! Not filled with just entries of ... a day in the life of Liz! But filled with photo blogs, weird entries, visitor goody entries, video blogs, tutorials, reviews, everything! What have I been doing with my summer? WHAT SUMMER! AH! I finished my junior year of college May 1st, and then had to go to Fort Lewis, Washington from June 14 to July 12 for "advanced camp". But Liz! What's advanced camp? WELL... you can go to this random school's website and read the boring description... or just read my fragmented version. I'm in ROTC, in order to become an officer, you must go through advanced camp, and PASS. This camp occurs in the summer between your junior and senior year. Ok, that's boring, where's the interesting stuff? WELL! You live in barracks for a week and a half, live out in the field for the rest of the month, do lots of training such as CBRN (basically go through the GAS CHAMBER!!!), you get to fire weapons like the M240! Go through obstacles courses, even a water obstacle course (tons of fun!), you have the opportunity to lead anywhere from a squad sized element to a company. You go on missions, you have 3 minutes to eat! Tons of fun. If you want to see pictures, click here!. That's basically what I've done all summer. Oh, and go to the gym and out with friends. But I don't have a job, who's going to hire me for less than a month? It's ok, I go back to school in a week... well, I go back to my apartment, then classes start 4 days later. I've been DYING to go back! Last night, I couldn't go to sleep, so I ended up staying up until about 3:30 a.m. making banana pecan cupcakes!  They are delicious! Well, that's all I got for right now.
